Noarlunga Centre (Ramsay Place - between the council offices & Centro Colonnades)
12pm - 2pm - FREE
The trick here might be trying to stop at least one of the Brilligs (hello Miss E, looking in your direction) from going shopping in the Centre before & after this gig... But from 12noon to 2pm you can catch Brillig (duo format) playing up an acoustic storm free, for families, friends and fellow shoppers on a sunny summer day. New songs will make an appearance, and Brillig encourages all the kiddies to get their dancing feet in gear. 'Cause daytime Brillig shows always mean "Gothic Wiggles" time!

SA Folk Centre
"Spellbinding Storytelling at the SA Folk Centre with Brillig & Soursob Bob"
Can't stop the folk! Fresh from the Illawarra Folk Fest and Singing Gallery folk venue, Brillig continue their quest to visit as many folk-friendly venues as it can find. This one's closer to home - the band will make their debut at the SA Folk Centre in March. Along with fellow well-travelled storyteller, Soursob Bob, Brillig will regale the SA Folk Centre audience with their sea shanties, murder ballads, Australiana and imaginative alt. folk on Saturday 19th March.
This is also Brillig's LAST SCHEDULED GIG for about 5 months! The band will be taking a break from the stage to get back in the songwriting saddle. Expect some new tunes (did someone say western themed?) and a return gig from September 2011.
Brillig promise an evening of their deliciously dark music, featuring male/female vocals and an array of instruments: guitar, viola, banjo, accordion, autoharp, ukulele, harmonica & bass. They’ll also bring along their bygone era dress sense & dramatic stage presence, peppered with comic banter & good natured heckling of their longtime pal Soursob Bob…
Having shared a stage many times over the years, it wasn’t until 2010 that they embarked on their 1st songwriting collaboration. In new track “Most Unlucky of the Lucky Deer”, Soursob Bob’s karmic poem of freedom & capture is set to Brillig’s haunting harmonies. The result: a somewhat sorrowful theme becomes strangely uplifting, and audiences can expect to hear the piece played live on the 19th March.
With Brillig's gig break and Soursob Bob’s imminent return to rockdom with Kelshy, this gig will indeed be a rare offering for folkies, and one not to miss.
